The HSE St. Petersburg administration has issued an order ‘On the specifics of organizing the educational process with the participation of students and postgraduates of HSE University – St. Petersburg in the 2021–2022 academic year’. The order outlines measures to protect students from COVID-19 for the 2021/2022 academic year.

In light of the epidemiological situation, the new academic year is to begin in a face-to-face format on all HSE University campuses. Established safety measures remain in place.

Classes will begin on-campus on September 1 (for some graduate programmes on October 1), and wearing masks in university buildings and dormitories will be mandatory for all students and teachers. HSE University will arrange online learning with mandatory support from professors for newly enrolled international students who are currently unable to travel to Russia.

Distance learning at the university will resume on April 6

Preventive measures due to the novel coronavirus forced many theatres and museums shut down until better days. However, there are exhibitions, discussions, and performances which you can watch online, so you can enjoy cultural life while staying at home. HSE St. Petersburg's Editorial Office tells where you can listen to the opera, watch ballet, or participate in a book seminar.

With the goal of minimizing the public health risk to our campus community related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, all in-person classes will be suspended at HSE University – St Petersburg starting March 17, 2020 until further notice.
