Bar Camp 2020: working for business

On April 8, at the St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management, for the first time, the remote opening of the Bar Camp 2020, event was held, organized for first-year masters in the programs "Management and Analytics for Business" and "Finance".

Bar Camp is a platform for practical interaction between students and employers. This event is held for the second time, but only this year it will be held completely in a remote format.

At the opening, students met with companies and their representatives, and also learned what projects they needed to carry out under the guidance of mentors. Students are invited, as a project work, to take part in solving real cases from partner companies of the university. Each team will have its own mentor leader from among the faculty teachers and a company representative, which will help achieve the tasks in a short time. For 3 weeks, students need to prepare a motivated consulting report in two languages ​​for the following companies: L'Oreal, Gazpromneft-Aero, Institute of Trening-ARB GC, “Fidesis” LLC, “Innovation” LLC, Gmathub, “Ingria” Business Incubator, CJSC “Eliot” and etc.

In May, the results of the project work will be presented in the format of a poster session, where students can talk about the main results, indicators and ideas. Reports in Russian and English will be transmitted to the management of enterprises. Companies will be ready to share detailed feedback on the work done by each student who participated in the project.

The idea of Bar Camp will allow students to immerse yourself in a real work environment, feel the various roles and be able to organize your time properly in order to get the appropriate result. We wish our students patience and efficiency in their project work!
