The School of Economics and Management is the result of bringing together the HSE St Petersburg Faculties of Economics and Management. The new school which combines the best of each of the former faculties offers three Bachelor’s and six Master’s degree programmes.
The main goal of the new school in teaching undergraduates and post-graduate students is to prepare them for professional work and independent research consistent with the high demands of international educational standards within the framework of an interdisciplinary approach.

The scope of academic programmes of HSE St. Petersburg in 2018-2019 includes brand new Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees open for international students, who are welcome to apply from mid-November 2017. Since November 15, 2017 HSE St. Petersburg's programmes have received 32 Bachelor's and 19 Master's applications. Furthermore, by December, in terms of geography, applications have come from Central America (El Salvador) to Africa (Egypt) and Southeast Asia (Vietnam), in addition to Kazakhstan, Armenia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
HSE St. Petersburg offers 15 full-time graduate programmes (including 5 English-taught international graduate programmes in Applied and Interdisciplinary History, Comparative Politics of Eurasia, Finance, Management and Analytics for Business, Business and Politics of Modern Asia) and 11 undergraduate programmes (3 are 100% English-taught, 8 are 25% English-taught). We also grant additional entries with 100+ Gold Scholarships. Besides, there are multiple opportunities for discounts through competitions based on examination scores - we can also offer Bachelor’s applicants 25-70% discounts and Master’s students 25-50% off their tuition fees.
The most popular Master's programme is in Finance. Through a partnership with IMESS programme, overseen by University College London (UCL), it offers the opportunity to earn two degrees at once, - a Master’s degree in Economics and Business from UCL and a Master’s in Finance from HSE. HSE University St. Petersburg is now offering a new Master’s programme in Management and Analytics for Business. The first intake will take place in 2018. The programme offers students a unique opportunity to obtain a cutting-edge education based on the best traditions of European business schools. It is classically structured with a focus on strategic and operational management, as well as a particular emphasis on analysis and solutions developed trough the use of Big Data. Moreover, the educational process is aligned around real business projects and digital start-ups, so business managers and future leader will be capable of working in a complex, ever challenging digital economy, by developing new business models to guarantee their success.
Another popular programme that employs an inter-disciplinary approach is the Master’s in Business and Politics in Modern Asia, which is designed to provide students with a range of skills necessary for understanding the processes taking place and emergin in contemporary Asia and Africa. The academic content of the programme is complemented by research projects and language training opportunities. In addition, graduates will be able to pursue careers in both the public and private sectors.
New among undergraduate programmes is the Communication Design profile, which is supervised by Mitya Kharshak. This programme is open to applicants with a certain level of Russian language proficiency.
