Joined CHEMP in 2015 to work in a qualitative project on smoking. Specifically the project addresses the relationship between the new anti-tobacco legislation and different sections of the population, asking how they understand, perceive of and respond to the law.
Working within a project on the ‘Discounting Rate for Health Technology Assessment (HTA)’. This is a new project (September 2016), the first stage of which involves a comprehensive literature review. Yuliya is also involved in bibliographic study on EQ-5D in Russia and is developing a new collaborative project on HTA for Systemic Lupus erythematosus treatment methodologies.
Research interests: Health Evaluation; mental health economics; ambulance services; doctors non-financial incentives; health outcomes.
Started working for CHEMP on the project called ‘Comparison and identification of the best method for assessing the quality of life (QALY) in Russia’. The project is aimed at comparing the results of measuring the quality of life obtained with different techniques, exploring possible factors that have influence on the respondent’s decision, providing recommendations for further research on a larger sample.
Research interests: Health related quality of life, health evaluation, sociology of health, quantitative research techniques.
